Description
Sandycove
This view of Sandycove from across Scotmans Bay succeeds in capturing all of the well-known buildings in the area, including the Martello Tower–which was made famous by James Joyce in his novel, Ulysses. My usual mixed media technique is demonstrated in this piece through my use of fine nibbed dip pens and watercolour, depicting all of the iconic architectural detail combined with warm sepia tones and vibrant blue hues.
