For this painting, pen and watercolour were used to illustrate theFusilier’sArch, the pillars, the people, and the lamp. For the trees in the background, watercolour is used, which helps to give great depth to this piece. The softness and cool tones of the trees really help strengthen the architectural detail in the foreground.
