Kilkenny Castle

Description

Built in 1195, Kilkenny Castle overlooks the River Nore which winds its way through the beautiful medieval city of Kilkenny. This view with St. John’s Bridge in the foreground captures the imposing majesty of the castle itself whilst giving a sense of the city with its wonderful architecture and heritage. This is a highly detailed piece, using mixed media of pen and watercolours to capture all the character of this Irish landmark.
